FFI GLOSSARY

Document Currency

Definition

The condition in which a document in the data room reflects information no older than the maximum age permitted for that document type as defined in the compliance criteria of the FFI Standard. A document is not current if it reflects information older than the applicable maximum, regardless of when the document itself was prepared.

Common Misapplication

The most common misapplication is using the document preparation date rather than the information date to assess currency. A management account prepared last week using data from six months ago is not a current document for data room purposes.
