Beta v0.5 covers all seven Books of the Standard in full, from Book 0 (Foundations and Definitions) through Book 6 (Strategic Financial Planning). Versioning Policy
The FFI Standard follows a three-tier versioning policy, defined in Book 0, Section 0.2. The three tiers are as follows.
| Version Type | Example | Scope | Frequency |
|---|---|---|---|
| Errata | v0.5.1 | Corrects factual errors or ambiguous language. Does not alter any requirement, definition, or compliance criterion. | As required, without notice period. |
| Minor | v1.1, v1.2 | Updates benchmarks, adds glossary terms, clarifies existing requirements. Does not alter foundational principles or compliance level structure. | Annually, following structured practitioner review. |
| Major | v2.0 | Makes structural changes: adding Books, revising foundational principles, or introducing new compliance levels. Subject to independent advisory panel review before publication. | No more than once every two years. |
An assessment completed against a specific version of the Standard remains valid at that version. Version upgrades do not retroactively invalidate assessments made under prior versions. Every version publishes a change log stating what changed, which section is affected, and the effective date of the change.
